Master Jesus speaks on the state of loneliness and how and why love is key. He says,
"Love is more than the promise of something better. It is
all there is. Any other state is a creation of someone who isn't
connected consciously with the only state there is. So that that
doesn't confuse you, let me state it another way. When you are
experiencing loneliness, fear, doubt, depression or sadness, you have
created those states, but they're not real. They're illusions. Love
is real and the only state."

TG: Is it an addiction?
MJ: Of course it is. You cling to the old story out of
comfort in the fact that it is known, while the new story isn't known.
Humanity has struggled with this dilemma for eons. Always there are
those who support change and those in the majority who resist it. This
is built into the evolution of the species. If change was too rapid,
the status quo might never reach its peak of efficacy. Remember the
status quo was selected as the story to abide by at some point. When
it begins to wear down in efficacy a new way is discovered. Those
comfortable with the old way resist the new way while the others
champion the cause of the new way. The tension is created and at some
point things change. The addiction is the rationalization that
something is good for you when it has passed the point of being so.

Master Jesus addresses the delicate balance between secular life as regulated by governments and unfettered religious freedoms.
What he says about the role of the ascended masters in the affairs of Earth,
"We coordinate very much in the same way you on the
physical plane would coordinate such an effort, but without the
politics of egos and fear. We meet on a regular basis to discuss our
respective plans and we identify areas that we can focus on together to
bring about specific results that accomplish our respective goals.
Please remember that we follow a plan that has been created by beings
who are the creators of this world. So, in that sense we are working
within a general framework that has anticipated many of the variables
that exist today and has also provided many of the solutions for us to
follow. There is a range of experimentation though and that is how we
learn."
He also touches on the nature of the human ego from an individual and group perspective.

TG: How does one accept death and the will to live at the same time?
MB: That's not so easy to explain or understand. The reason
is because of attachment to living and then attachment to accepting
death in order to be free from fear. There is, in between the actual
truth of acceptance of death and the first step, a period of elation at
no longer sensing any fear around dying. When the fear of dying has so
long ruled the physical life it is quite a relief to no longer walk in
fear of it. However, there will come a test. And that test will
present an option to die or an option to live and that is when you'll
discover how attached you are to the notion of dying versus the notion
of living and which one actually carries the most fear. There are two
parts to the fear aspect of living in the flesh. The first is fear of
dying and that preoccupies all your thoughts, emotions and energy to
avoid its actuality. Then there comes the fear of living, which
exposes all the painful self-inadequacies. That's enough to make one
embrace death, now no longer feared, as an escape from the fear of
living.

It seems as though things change slowly within our social structures. What is the glue that holds the status quo? What about our economic lives? Master Jesus addresses these questions and the process for working out differences.
MJ: Whenever there is a strong belief tied to an emotional
commitment with a large number of people, sustained for a long period
of time, then this phenomenon occurs. Sometimes there are competing
thoughts existing at the same time. When this occurs collectively you
feel the energetic tension of opposition. This is the great duality
that plays out constantly in human affairs. There is a saying to avoid
politics and religion in polite conversation. That is recognizing the
deeply engrained opposition and emotional force behind the tension—it
is uncontrollable at times. It is reserved then for a different arena;
one in which conflict can be explored.

TG: All of this seems far a field from what you usually teach. What happened to the render unto Caesar approach?
MJ: We’ll get to that. As I said earlier, things change.
Everything changes. This includes what is being taught and the methods
of teaching. Humans have assumed, wrongly, that they are the only ones
affected by their decisions. This is the egocentric aspect of the
story. First, the story must be enlarged to include everyone and
everything affected by decisions. Then everyone must be given a voice
in those decisions. Those of us working from the side of spirit are
here to ensure this happens. From that point, humans in their dominant
position will decide the fate of Earth and all living things on Earth.
That will be judgment day.

Master Buddha speaks on the benefits of humor in development of a spiritual life and its role in the evolution of religion. This is an excerpt,
"I once encountered a monk who delivered the most eloquent and
beautiful sermon on the virtue of humor. He told of his journey to a
foreign land and of his many blunders with language and custom. His
audience was all smiles and laughs as they recognized themselves in
each anecdote. Why can't we have that acceptance about religion? Is
it somehow more important than its adherents? There is a problem here
that goes deeper than offense at irreverence. There is a problem that
a man can only resolve by finding his true spiritual nature through a
religion that he so identifies with that he has the strength and the
courage to laugh at himself and his religion occasionally. Life is
experience and religion is also experience. This means that it must be
accepted as fallible and in need of evolution. Man must not guard it
as if it is a treasure that belongs only to him, and is so fragile that
it will break at the slightest injury.
Religion is a living thing. It is nurtured in the way all living
things are nurtured. It must learn. And to learn it must not take too
seriously what it already thinks it knows. Otherwise there is no room
for new insights. Without new insights how is it to grow and learn and
allow for nurturance?"

This is an excerpt from the conversation on human health, our ecosystem and balance. Master Jesus says,
"There are basic qualities of energy that compose life on Earth, which
are in turn reflected in the chemistry of material existence. Humans
are composed of all those basic qualities of energy found in every
species on Earth. The two most abused beliefs by humans are that
humans have dominion over all species and survival of the fittest
species. The unremarkable intelligence that springs from those
simplistic notions is creating your own Armageddon. Your role as
steward has been usurped by your pride as being superior. Your role as
spiritual leader has been sabotaged by your fear of spirit. Without a
turnaround in these conditions, you will have to experience the
consequences of these beliefs carried to their natural conclusion."

Master Buddha speaks on Reincarnation
TG: What is reincarnation exactly?
MB: Every living thing on Earth has an eternal essence, or
spirit. That spirit or essence cycles through life experience in
material form and in various other forms, and what may be called
non-forms from the perspective of material being. In the material form
on Earth of which we are speaking, there are many choices. The essence
chooses according to the experience one has been created to experience.
TG: Does this mean that those of us in human form would choose
human form in the next life on Earth and not that of an animal, insect
or plant?
MB: That's correct.
TG: Does that also mean that no other past life we were any of those other forms and then graduated to human form?

TG: Yesterday we were discussing reincarnation and I asked you
if we could include karma. Will you explain karma and whether or not
it affects reincarnation?
MB: Karma does factor into reincarnation. It does so by the
nature of what karma is. Let me explain. Karma is simply the eternal
spirit of a human taking personal responsibility for his or her life
experience. There is an ethical element of course, but not to the
degree that many believe. The intensity of the ethical element is an
effect of the person herself emphasizing this aspect. That is to say
there is no external force determining which acts of the individualized
self are subject to karma and which are not. It is the person who
decides.

reincarnation and karma that I had a notion that it was a form of
punishment to correct wrongdoing, or reward for good things done. And
one has to come back time and time again to get it right. That's not
it though, is it?
MB: Getting it right, meaning purifying your essence while in
material form, and consequently purifying your material form would be
one way to see it. Punishment and reward is wholly a human concept.

Why do we have to forego pleasure in order to appreciate and live a spiritual life in the flesh?

Master Jesus On Spirituality and Patience
Oftentimes I feel the undercurrent of impatience in spiritual matters. I want it all to happen immediately and in complete fullness. In this conversation Master Jesus (MJ) describes what it's like knowing from the heart. Here's an excerpt,
MJ: The knowing is not of the mind or of logic. It just is and
you know it by feeling it, not thinking it. It is a hard corner to
turn if the mind is doing the driving. For the ego and the mind,
knowing from the heart represents self-destruction, which in turn, goes
against survival instincts. The mind is so clever in that way. It's a
house of mirrors. Everywhere you see a way out; that is indeed just
another mirror. There is no escape through the mind or by the mind.
That is my point and yet it appears I am appealing to your logical mind
to embrace this, but that isn't the case. I'm strengthening your soul
to tap your spirit that holds the key to your power that unlocks your
heart that alters the mind that frees you from the illusion.

TG: I realize that we may not be able to cover this topic in one
conversation, but at least we can start. Please talk about the role of
sex in Western society. Specifically, what do you observe as the
general state of sexual health among our population?
Master Jesus: This is sure to provoke more than a few people who stand in
judgment of sexuality when it deviates from their spectrum of
acceptable behavior. Likewise, those who feel that anything goes will
likely rise in defense of their personal honor if Master Buddha or I
speak disapprovingly of their behavior. You're right in that it will
require several conversations in order to present a full picture of the
state of sexuality in Western society. It is not our intent to approve
or disapprove of human sexual behavior, but we can speak to what we
observe from a perspective of what is serving humankind positively and
what isn't.

TG: Is there anything that husbands and wives, lovers, mates can
do to better understand the contemporary shifts occurring around
sexuality within their relationships that would help them provide more
joy for themselves and their families?

On religions and religious organizations Master Jesus says,
"The role of religion is to share this common knowledge by way of a
social support and educational network. Through the human epoch of
living as savage beasts to dining in a restaurant there is much
suffering and challenge along the way. Religious organizations are
educational first and foremost in intent. That they have been
corrupted in that aim is not sufficient reason to abandon the concept.
The first thing that humans do when they reject religious organizations
is form another one in contrast to the one they rejected. There is
nothing inherently wrong with religious organizations as an educational
facility. There is something wrong in the clergy inserting themselves
as the gatekeepers for all that is holy and righteous. Let them stand
down and reclaim their roles as leaders and custodians of an
institution of learning and comfort."

Conversation from questions submitted by a reader.
Christine C. submitted the following questions. Your sincere questions
are welcome and I'll do my best to include them in a conversation for
publication from time to time.
T. Michael
Christine C. asks,
"It is written that our DNA is many strands short of what was
originally intended for "human beings", and that unseen powers (to us
earthlings) altered DNA. I agree that humans have spiritually existed
primarily from faith as our awareness is veiled for reasons possibly
connected to the same powers (or for the continued exercise of faith?).
At what point does the planet deserve divine assistance, possibly in
reconnecting the DNA, thus greater awareness and resulting better
health? When does the veil lift for humanity? What purpose does the
veil serve?"

TG: May I ask about anger and its role in our lives and relationships? Will you begin with offering a definition of anger?
MB: What may seem obvious to most everyone is that anger is a
reaction to not getting what you want when you want it or in the way
you want it. It can be your fault, or it can be someone else's fault.
The second reflex of anger is retribution or evening the score to
recover what you didn't get plus a bonus for having suffered the agony
of anger and inconvenience. There is also anger once removed, meaning
on behalf of an injustice done to another for which you have a
connection or affinity. The reflex of retribution is the same.

TG: I recently had an experience that put to test what we discussed in parts one and two on loneliness. Someone very close to me wanted to die because of severe loneliness, alienation, etc. The ideas that we discussed seemed so intellectual and abstract that she couldn't bear to listen or discuss them. She wanted to die because she didn't care about anything. What would you do for someone is this shape?
Master Jesus: Love her first. Love her with all your heart. Let the power of love pierce her fog of confusion. Each person will respond differently to mental concepts, but all will respond to the purity of love in the same way.

Master Buddha: So once peace has been established, once there is recognition of it is, then there can be resolution. But this resolution need not be the end point for what does this resolution mean? However, in other cases this will not be so.

Master Buddha: Today we are going to focus on respiration: in and out. Why have so many of my teachings, and those who have followed me, focused on the breath? Firstly, as everyone is aware, breathing happens with or without you. Secondly, when you consciously engage your breath you are consciously engaging with the state of being that is happening whether you are aware of it or not. This is one of the easiest, and always the most successful, way of being in the present moment. You cannot escape your breath for breathing is happening to you. But when you join with what is happening to you and offer no resistance, then oneness is developed. There is nothing quite like this. There need be no association with thought. So observation of breath and conjoining of being is my favorite tool for teaching people to become still and whole.

Master Buddha: We wish to speak to you today about extremes. Because extremes move in different ways from a perceived central point, are they any different? No. To clarify, if one is looking to get fit, becoming a couch potato could be extreme, exercising for five hours a day could be perceived as extreme. Are they any different? While the behaviors of a couch potato person and someone who is exercising five hours a day may seem radically different, extremes are extremes.

Master Buddha: Zoë, you have been hearing my words in your head, ‘resist nothing, resist nothing’ and so on. Let me explain what this means.
For mind and mastery to be complete there needs to be a full understanding of the nature of mind, the workings of mind and the ability from that therefore to direct mind. “Resist nothing” does not refer to earthly pleasures or deliberately indulging in squalid, dirty, self gratification states. However, the fear that that is where the mind could take one, means that one resists certain thoughts, urges and in the resistance, one becomes unable to see what is real. In other words, the fear of what might be real creates resistance so that reality is never quite achieved albeit heavily sought by the individual.

Conversation with Master Buddha
TG: What is the nature of faith as it relates to matters spiritual or religious?
Master Buddha: The nature of faith rests on the premise that there are things one can't know for certain through direct observation, and so one must imagine that given a strong feeling that something must be true, then it is accepted as true. It becomes a belief in one's truth based upon the strong feeling.
TG: So what we consider to be evidence of truth through direct observation of facts is not faith?
Master Buddha: Well, that is faith also to some extent, because has one ever experienced absolute proof of truth? Can you truly say that even the things you thought you proved to yourself through direct observation have always been really true? Have there been occasions where you observed a thing to be true and later discovered your observations were not so accurate? There is usually some element of doubt and faith fills in the gap.
